Kelas Dialektika: Kehadiran Artificial Intelligence, Antara Memanfaatkan atau Dimanfaatkan

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. This situation requires students to possess digital literacy and critical thinking skills to utilize AI wisely without over-reliance. This Community Service activity aims to improve students' understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and ethical aspects of AI use through a Dialectics Class with the theme "The Presence of Artificial Intelligence: Between Utilizing or Being Utilized." The activity took place on June 12, 2026, at Makassar State University, targeting students from the Office Administration Education Student Association. The method used was a participatory-dialogic approach through material delivery, interactive discussions, and participant reflections. The activity's results demonstrated high student enthusiasm in the discussions and an increased understanding of the use of AI to support learning, information retrieval, and creativity development. Participants also understood the various risks of AI use, such as technological dependency, decreased critical thinking skills, the spread of invalid information, and ethical issues. This activity successfully strengthened digital literacy and raised students' awareness to utilize AI responsibly, critically, and oriented towards competency development in the era of digital transformation.
