Penguatan Kapasitas Grup Hadrah melalui Pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development di Desa Trebungan Kabupaten Bondowoso

Abstract

Trebungan Village in Taman Krocok District, Bondowoso Regency, possesses strong socio-religious capital, evidenced by the presence of an active Hadrah group within the community. However, this potential has not been optimally managed due to weak organizational governance, a lack of routine training programs, and underdeveloped promotion and performance networking strategies. This community service initiative aims to strengthen the Hadrah group's capacity using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes leveraging existing community assets—including human, social, physical, cultural, and financial capital—as the foundation for empowerment. The program followed the four stages of ABCD: Discover (asset mapping), Dream (formulating a shared vision), Design (developing three intervention pillars: enhancing musicality, improving institutional governance, and digitizing promotion), and Deliver/Destiny (conducting an eight-week training program). Impact evaluation employed a mixed-methods approach utilizing questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and participant observation. The results indicate significant improvements across all indicators: artistic skills rose from 40% to 85%; understanding of management and administration increased from 25% to 80%; member motivation and cohesion grew from 50% to 90%; and capabilities regarding facility management and promotion improved from 30% to 75%. These findings confirm that an asset-based approach effectively fosters the independence and sustainability of community-based groups.
